Collector's Perspectives - Inform Interiors

Join us for an intimate discussion focusing on some of John's most treasured pieces and hear the stories behind each.

Attendees are encouraged to stay for the reception and explore one of the top 5 design stores in the world! Established in Vancouver in 1963, is not only a go-to place for the best in contemporary home furnishings but is also a cultural hub for all things related to design and architecture.

Biographies:

John David Lawrence is a life-long collector of mid-20th C. objects and owner of DoDa Antiques.

Daina Augaitis is Chief Curator Emerita at the Vancouver Art Gallery where she led the curatorial programs between 1997-2017. One of her last collaborative projects at the museum was “Modern in the Making: Post-war Craft and Design in British Columbia” and it was during the research for this exhibition in 2018 that she was introduced to Mr. Lawrence’s outstanding collection of BC ceramics.
